Asilomar is a place to gets lots of new lessons and ideas to use in your classroom. Attend sessions led by teachers and other educators from all levels and all over California, the US, and beyond. Experience hands-on workshops and fun-filled activities you will want to share with your colleagues and students. The Asilomar conference offers a rich variety of experiences to suit every grade level and to cover all strands of mathematics.

On Grounds Housing 

CMC North has a block of rooms reserved for conference attendees and their guests. Reservations for these rooms are handled by Asilomar directly.

Please read the following information carefully before making your reservation.

  • Because of Covid, Asilomar can not take on the responsibility of matching you with roommates, given the virus transmission possibility that exists in mask-less sleeping rooms.
  • You must request each other as roommates in order to be assigned to the same room.  
  • You may request up to three roommates for quad rooms.
  • If you request someone to be your roommate, and they do not request you, your reservation will be put on hold.
  •  All requested roommates must be registered for the same lodging nights and must register within 5 business days of each other. 

Asilomar Conference Ground Rates for 2 nights, December 2nd and 3rd, includes all meals starting with dinner Friday night and ending Sunday at lunch.  These are the 2022 per person rates. 2023 rates coming soon!. No refunds can be made for all cancellations received on or after November 2, 2022.

Double: $432.70 (per person)
Triple: $371.38 (per person)
Quad: $340.70 (per person)

Alternate Lodging

As an alternative to staying on the Asilomar grounds, we have made arrangements through the firm NV Reservations to reserve a number of rooms in the area at special conference rates.  In an effort to accommodate different preferences as well as budgets, various types of facilities are offered.

Directions to Asilomar

Asilomar is located on the ocean in Pacific Grove, just below Monterey, at the southern tip of Monterey Bay.

From Hwy 1, take Pacific Grove Hwy 68 Exit. Hwy 68 will become Forest Avenue. Continue 1 mile to PG Middle School and turn left onto Sinex Avenue. Sinex deadends at the Asilomar gates. Friday after 3 it is recommended that, unless you have on-grounds housing, you park at PGMS and take the shuttle to Asilomar.

From Hwy 17, take the Hwy 1 South exit. See Above

From the north, take Hwy 101 South, and bear right onto Hwy 156 West and then take 1 South. See above.

From the south, take Hwy 101 North to Hwy 68 West. See above.
