How to Solve It, by George Polya, reformed math education in 1945!!

George Polya was a contemporary of Dienes (of Dienes or Cuisenaire blocks) and had the same desire to rejuvenate math education in the early grades especially. He wrote the book “How to Solve It” to provide students with the will (we would now call it ‘grit’) and the strategies necessary to succeed in solving – potentially ANY problem.
